The facilities are simple but effective, rustic but clean. Designed by Tom & Liv, the shower and compost toilet units are built for purpose and made by local fabricators at Haddy’s. 

The compost toilets are long drop, and the showers & washing up areas are heated by a gas boiler, the perfect solution for off grid camping. Please note that the use of the hot water and toilet roll is included in your pitch fee on this site, therefore no hidden extras during your stay.

Booking Confirmation

Booking Confirmation

Once you’ve made a booking and your deposit or balance payment has been processed, you’ll receive a receipt as confirmation. Deposits are non-refundable and may only be transferred at Cool Cow Camping’s discretion. Your booking is only considered confirmed once you receive a booking confirmation email. Please bring this confirmation with you when checking in. If the balance is not paid by the due date, the booking will be cancelled, and any payments already made will be forfeited.

Conditions of Booking

We reserve the right to decline or terminate a booking if any guest’s behaviour or party make-up disrupts the comfort of other visitors. In such cases, no refunds will be issued. Cool Cow Camping and its facilities are designed for family holidays, and therefore, we do not accept bookings from groups of single individuals.

Children

Parents and guardians are responsible for their children at all times. Please ensure you always know where your children are and provide adequate supervision throughout your stay.

Dogs

Dog owners are responsible for their pets at all times. Dogs must always be kept on a lead, and owners are expected to provide appropriate supervision. There is a designated fenced area where dogs can be exercised off-lead, and owners must clean up after their pets.

Holiday Amendments

Changes to Your Holiday During Your Stay

We cannot be held responsible for or provide compensation for events beyond our control, including (but not limited to) industrial disputes, natural disasters, fire, technical issues, adverse weather conditions, or government actions.

Amendments to Your Booking

If you wish to modify elements of your booking, such as the type of accommodation or duration of stay, after paying your deposit or balance, we will do our best to accommodate your request. In cases of illness, accidents, or changes in circumstances, while a full refund cannot be guaranteed, we will strive to find a suitable arrangement. Failure to arrive without providing a valid explanation or written cancellation will not qualify for a transfer of stay.

In rare cases of pricing errors, we may contact you with the following options:

• Pay the correct price to retain your booking.
• Cancel your booking and receive a full refund.

If We Make Any Major Alterations to Your Booking

While we aim to provide all facilities as advertised, it may sometimes be necessary to make changes before your holiday. Should this occur, we will inform you in writing at the earliest opportunity.

If We Cancel Your Booking

We make every effort to avoid changing dates or cancelling bookings. However, in exceptional circumstances, this may be necessary. In such cases, we will notify you as soon as possible, offering the following options:

• Accept the alternative arrangements provided.
• Choose another available break at the advertised price.
• Cancel your holiday for a full refund of any money paid.

Rules and Regulations

The person making the booking is responsible for the conduct of their group. It is essential to read and abide by the park's rules and regulations. Not reading the rules does not exempt you from compliance. It is your responsibility to ensure all party members understand and agree to the terms set out in these conditions. Failure to disclose relevant information or comply with the terms may result in the termination of the contract and loss of booking without a refund. Cool Cow Camping reserves the right to ban individuals from future bookings.

Liability

Anyone causing damage to buildings, equipment, or property at Cool Cow Camping may face immediate eviction and potential prosecution. The person who made the booking will be held responsible and charged for any damage or loss caused by themselves or their visitors.

All personal belongings, vehicles, and their contents are left at your own risk. Cool Cow Camping and its staff will not be liable for any loss, theft, or damage to property, nor for any injury, accident, or mishap during your stay. Guests should ensure their property is secure and fully insured for any unforeseen circumstances.

The information provided at the time of booking is required for processing your reservation. We may use your data to keep you informed about our services, news, offers, and relevant information. If you do not wish to receive marketing communications, please inform us.

We may also share your data with CampStead Ltd, who may contact you to complete a review or questionnaire regarding your experience at Cool Cow Camping.
